Introduction
My name is Cynthia (Cynde) Reneau, I recently completed the Master's Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Spring 2011 and graduated Spring 2014. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History. While working on my first degree I worked at Georgia Highlands in their Information Technology department and at Coosa Valley Tech as an instructor. I was involved in one of the first 1:1 programs at Georgia Highlands and learned a great deal from that experience. After this, I worked at The Lovett School in Atlanta, GA where I was an Instructional Technologist. I worked at Lovett for 12 years and helped develop their Macbook 1:1 program. My next 4 years were spent at the wonderful Darlington International Boarding School in Rome, GA as their Instructional Technology Coordinator. It was there that I really learned to be a leader. As one of the finest boarding schools in the nation, I was able to learn from the best leaders in the world, specifically Stefan Eady, the Director of Technology. There, under Mr. Eady's direction, I helped with Darlington's 1:1 Macbook program as well as developed the schools first eBook initiative that they are still using today.
I currently work at The Pan American School of Bahia in Salvador, Brasil as the Director of Information Technology. Living in a new country and being the leader of a department has it's challenges but I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "Standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented. When hovering over "Standards", each standard will have a series of reflections and artifacts you can review by hovering over each standard.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University. I feel that I am well-prepared to help teachers integrate technology into the classroom and to assist them in using technology by providing professional learning opportunities for them.
