This class experience gave me the understanding of how Web 2.0 tools can be used in the classroom in many ways. Before taking the class, I had used almost all the tools that were required in the class. The class gave me the chance to revisit them and get a better understanding of how they can be used in the classroom. The most important thing that I really enjoyed was blogging. It helped me to grow in my critical thinking skills and how to analyze, breakdown and critique different tools and ideas for technology integration.
As a technology integration coordinator I don’t always hear the teacher’s thoughts on different tools and ways they integrate them into the classroom. Having to comment on other students work gave me the opportunity to see how others were using the tools, the problems they may have and how students could learn from the lesson. Although the ELL portion of this class was a bit lengthy and stressful I am grateful to have completed it. I have a new understanding of how to work with our international boarding students that can impact the school’s overall technology program.
I think I enjoyed this class the most out of all my classes so far. I learned more from this class about technology integration and how it has an impact on teachers and their curriculums. One of the key points in enjoying this class is the lack of frustration. The quick and caring responses and feedback from my instructor Dr. Frazier helped me to grow and understand the material. If all instructors at Kennesaw could take some lessons from her, the institution would be perfect!
